Photocatalysis - TiO2
The technology considers questions of cleanness tenability of our environment using solar energy.Photocatalysis is a photochemical reaction which uses one of the optional forms of titanium dioxide as a photocatalyst. Photocatalytic technologies use solar energy in new and different way. Photocatalysis helps to improve our environment. Even we speak about revolution with cleaning by light.

- self-cleaning and self-sterilizing ceramic facings
(it could be helpful in medical process) - air cleaners for industry or houses
- air-conditioning and self-cleaning coverings for tunnel lights
- antibacterial paper
- cleaning water and polluted land technology
- self-cleaning glasses for cars and skyscrapers
- self-cleaning car body
On the surface of specially prepared form of TiO2 the material is decayed according to our choice, i.e. dirt, fetid chemicals, toxic gases including nitrogen oxide, smoky rests, bacteria etc. Photocatalysis helps to avoid both pollution of external building cover by polluted environment and darkening of lamp glass covers in highway tunnels by emissions from motor vehicles. Lowering of toxic gases concentration as nitrogen oxide is also significant. Photocatalysts as TiO2 embodies surprising antibacterial dezodorisation effects. Use of this technology can prevent misting front window in cars and driving mirrors. As another example we can mention manufacturing self-cleaning and antibacterial ceramic facings, which was launched in Czech Republic.
